Angry Neighbours, Philosophy, and Devil Worshipping
This afternoon I sat in my back yard, studying for my philosophy exam. I brought my portable stereo and listened to an Iron Maiden album.
I listened to “The Number of the Beast”, an aggressive, kinetic song that features wholesome lyrics such as “In the night / The fires are burning bright/ The ritual has begun / Satan’s work is done / 666 / The number of the beast / Sacrifice / Is going on tonight”. Immediately after vocalist Bruce Dickinson sang those lines, I turned around and noticed that my very religious neighbour was standing outside on his porch, staring at me. He had a strange look on his face; it was a mix of anger, disgust and fear. Once he noticed that I saw him, he quickly went back into his house.
All I wanted to do was get some fresh air while studying, and now my neighbour think I’m a Satanist. I’ll be sure to be extra friendly to him (though I’m not sure if that will make matters better or worse).

P.S. Nice blog. I like the satinism. Nice touch.
Jason... by "satinism", I guess you mean "of or pertaining to satin, the smooth fabric".
